Woodworker

I was always attracted to beautiful wood and was curious about the processes of working wood.  My first custom piece was a case for my (future) wife’s double flute.  I began seriously investing time and effort into developing my skills about ten years ago, so compared to the woodworkers I’ve been taught by, I’m still very much a learner.

I enjoy cabinetry but my passion projects all revolve around my lathe (pardon the pun, I’m a physicist by trade. If you don’t know us, we make lots of awful jokes).  I’m focusing on smaller objects, such as bowls and goblets, which allow me to explore the use of upcycled and recycled wood in my craft.  With segmented turning, even scraps of wood can be given a second life.

I’m always looking for a new challenge. Reach out and join me on my journey!
